I'm a 15-year-old middle school student. I'm in the grade this year. Though I have been learning English since I was in Grade Three, I can't do well in English tests. So yesterday I asked my English teacher, Miss Lin, for some advice on how to be a(n)English learner. Here's what she told me.

    First, an interest in English. This is very important. There's a saying, "Interest is the best teacher." If you are interested in English, your brain will be more active and it is also much for you to pay attention to it for a long time. Interest will help you more English words. And you won't get bored with English. Second, practicing again and again. Remember, use it or lose it! Even if you learn some words and well, you will forge them you use them. Third, developing your study skills. It is not enough to just study hard. You have to know how to study. The basic way is to take notes by down key words or by drawing mind maps.

    Miss Lin is sure that as long as I learn , I can learn English well. I should believe in . Do as my teacher said and I'll make greater progress.
