I'm a guitarist in a rock band. I work in a club at night, and I sleep all1. I usually practice in my flat in the afternoon, but the neighbors don't like my2. They say it's too noisy. I love my job. It's fun, and it's3. I am doing what I want, and I have a lot of free time. But there is one4: I don't see my friends very often. I' m usually working when they are free. I want to be a musician(音乐家) and work during the day.

    I'm a carpenter(木匠) and I have my own business. I have a workshop at the back of the house where I make tables, chairs, and other things, everything out of5. My job isn't stressful(有压力的)，and I enjoy the work. I don't make a lot of money, but I'm happy this way. I want to buy some modern tools and equipment for my work. But I don't want to6my job.

23 rd December

    I like to give gifts, but my friends and family all need different kinds of gifts. It's difficult to think of a different gift for everyone.

    My friend Jack is having a birthday party tomorrow. I must give him a gift. Jack likes robots. I think I will give him a robot. The big red robot can walk and sing. It isn't very expensive but I think Jack will like it. When we give a present, the price isn't important. A gift shows that we like someone a lot.

    Soon it will be Christmas Day! I need to buy something for my mum and dad. I will buy a pretty scarf for my mum and slippers for my dad. My dad always laughs and says he gets slippers every Christmas but I know he likes them.

    I like to give gifts to people. I like to see everyone happy. If they are happy, I will be happy too.

    My friend Doris is ill and in hospital. For people in hospital, it's a good idea to give them fruit or flowers, but Doris doesn't like flowers very much, and her family brings her fruit every day." So I think I will buy her a book. It is boring to be in hospital, so she will enjoy reading an exciting book.
