The bell kept ringing .

    Once upon a time, there was a poor fisherman who always dreamt of becoming rich. He wished to become a millionaire, and so did his wife. He heard from some old  (man) before, that several ships loaded with diamonds and gold had sunk (沉没) in the nearby seashore. Because of this, for a long time he kept  (search) that whole area for this treasure.

    One day, while he was sitting on the boat daydreaming, he suddenly felt that the fishing rod (竿) was being pulled down by  heavy object. He was so  (excite) that he pulled hard at it, and what he saw made him  (shout), "Wow! A big shiny, gold chain!" He pulled hard at the gold chain  (get) it into the boat,  it seemed to be no end to it. His boat started to get overloaded and it  (fill) with sea water. However, he had begun dreaming of a big house, a big piece of land and buying horses and cows… He kept pulling in the chain and the boat kept sinking. The boat  (final) sunk and he struggled to stay afloat. Unfortunately his feet were caught in the gold chain and he  (die).

Dear Maria,

    I'm writing to remind you that the erhu course will start next week. Classes run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 16: 30 until 18: 00.

    The erhu teacher will be Mr Wu, who has performed both in our city and abroad. He can really make the erhu sing. His classes are the most popular with students in our centre.
