    Trees are important and they can help us in many ways.  However, some of them are in danger and need to be taken care of as much as possible. Here are some ways to save trees.

    Use paper wisely. We can save trees by using paper in a right way. What can we do? Use both sides of paper when doing the homework. Borrow books to read when you needn't buy them. Never throw old books away, hut be kind to donate them to others who need them.  In place of paper towels, use cloth towels.

    Plant trees. To save trees, it's a great idea to plant them. Spring is the best season to plant trees. If everyone around us does it, millions of trees will appear and make our world become green and beautiful.

    Tell people to understand the importance of trees and help save trees. Try to write letters to government officials(官员 ) and persuade(劝) them to use as little paper as they can.

    All around the world, people drink tea. But tea does not mean the same thing to everyone. In different countries people have very different ideas about drinking tea.

    In China, for example, tea is always served when people get together. The Chinese drink it at any time of the day at homes or in tea houses. They prefer their tea plain with nothing else in it.

    Tea is also important in Japan. The Japanese have a special way of serving tea called a tea ceremony（仪式). It is very old and full of meaning. Everything must be done in a special way in the ceremony. There is even a. special room for it in Japanese homes.

    Another tea-drinking country is England. In England, the late afternoon is "teatime". Almost everyone has a cup of tea then. The English usually make tea in a teapot and drink it with cream and sugar. They also eat cakes, cookies and little sandwiches at teatime.

    In the United States people drink tea mostly for breakfast or after meals. Americans usually use tea bags to make their tea. Tea bags are faster and easier than making tea in teapots. In summer, many Americans drink cold tea—"iced tea". Sometimes they drink iced tea from cans, like soda.

    I can't remember when I started collecting rubbish. It might be when I got tired of(厌倦) seeing rubbish in the forest near my home. I used to love going there to play with my dog. But one day there was so much rubbish there that I became very unhappy.

    I decided I had to clean up the forest. I made my first trip to clean the forest that afternoon. I took a big black rubbish bag with me. Ten minutes after starting picking up rubbish, my bag was full! It had cans, bottles, broken glass and newspapers in it.

    I go to the forest four times a year to pick up rubbish. I often stay there for three hours. After each trip, I look at all the rubbish. If any of it is recyclable, I will keep it. It makes me feel great to do something for the environment. I will keep picking up rubbish until people stop dropping it.

    Plants are very  (importance). This is  plants can make food from air, water and sunlight. Animals and man cannot make food from air, water and sunlight. They can get their food by (eat) plants and animals. So animals and man need plants in order (live). This is why there are so many plants  us. There  (be) two kinds of plants: flowering plants(开花植物) and non-flowering plants(不开花植物). Almost all the trees around us are flowering plants. We can know some trees from their flowers  fruits. Non-flowering plants do not grow flowers. We cannot see many non flowering plants around us. If we look (careful) at the plants around us, we  (find) that there are many kinds of plants. Some plants are large and some are small. Most of  (they) are green.
