Can you believe that liking eating instant noodles can help someone go to famous American universities? A high school student in Fuzhou, Fujian province, has been1by a university in the US, thanks in part to his appetite for instant noodles, Southeast Express said on Wednesday.Wang is a2at Fuzhou No.1 Middle School. It is said that he is a3fan of instant noodles. He never thought that his appetite would4to his admission to the University of Rochester in the US. Wang says he was admitted after he wrote about his love of snack noodles in his5to the school.

          After he was accepted, Wang6 the admission letter on Sina Weibo, which read: “The counselors (指导老师)7that you be admitted after reading about your enthusiasm for ramen noodles(方便面). The committee and I are8you will both stand out and grow stronger as part of the Rochester family.”

          Wang says he has enjoyed eating instant noodles from a (an) 9age.As a child, because his parents were busy working during the day and not at home, he didn’t10. For convenience, he often eats instant noodles. As a fan, Wang claims that he has tried 11all flavors of noodles ranging from Master Kong of Taiwan to the Japan based Nissin in Asia. 12the hobby is formed. When applying for American universities, he wrote this hobby in the application and he did not expect it to become a reason for admission, he felt the Americans too13!

Wear a light hat that will shade your face but will still let heat escape from your head. Drink a lot of cool liquids to rehydrate. If you are sweating a lot, you will be losing salt as well as water through your skin, so you may want a salty snack. Sweat is odorless, but the bacteria that live in it can smell bad. Keeping clean will help your friends stay friendly all summer long!

     When I was 8 years old, I decided to run away from home after a quarrel with my mother. With my suitcase packed and some sandwiches in a bag, I started for the front door.

     My mom asked where I was going. “I'm leaving home,” I said.

     “What's that you're carrying?” she asked.

     “Some clothes and food,” I replied.

     “If you want to run away, that's all right,” she said. “But you came into this home without anything and you can leave the same way.”

     I threw my suitcase and sandwiches on the floor and started for the door again.

     “Wait a minute,” Mom said. “You didn't have any clothes on when you arrived, and I want them back.”

 This infuriated me. I tore my clothes off — shoes, socks, underwear and all — and shouted, “Can I go now?”

     “Yes,” my mom answered, “but once you close that door, don't expect to come back.”

     I was so angry that I shut the door forcefully and stepped out of my home. Then I noticed down the street two neighbor girls walking toward our house. I was so shy that I saw the big spruce (云杉) tree in our yard and jumped under the low-hanging branches. A pile of dried-up brown needles were beneath the tree, and you can't imagine the pain those sharp needles caused to my body.

     After I was sure the girls had passed by, I ran to the front door and knocked at it loudly.

     “It's Billy! Let me in!”

     The voice behind the door answered, “Billy doesn't live here anymore. He ran away from home.”

     Looking behind me to see if anyone else was coming down the street, I said, “Mom! I'm sorry. I'm still your son. Let me in!”

     The door opened and Mom's smiling face appeared. “Did you change your mind about running away?” she asked.

     “What's for supper?” I smiled back.
