Hello, everybody. I'm Olivia. I'm glad to be here this afternoon. Do you have a friend with an interesting background? Today, I'd like to tell you about a (活泼的) girl. I'll tell you about where she's from, and why we're good friends.

You know, I didn't use to do much exercise. A few years ago, I joined a (运动) club. On my first day there,

I met Raquel. After the gym, we had coffee (一起) and soon became good friends. I think that's because we have a lot in common. We like to keep fit and love to (尝试) different food, especially spicy food. And we love the ocean. In summer, we like to hang out at the (海滩) and go surfing at least once a month. Raquel was born in Mexico, but has been here since she was (十) years old. Her mother is Mexican and her father is American, so she

can speak (两者都) Spanish and English. That's something different about us. Although I (上学；参加) a class last year, my Spanish is still terrible! Another thing that's different is her background. Raquel's from two countries

and has experience and (知识) of two cultures. I think that's really (酷的).

We might not live in the same city in the future, but I think we'll stay friends. Thanks for listening to me.

The relationship(关系) between teachers and students is an important part of school life. A new Indian movie called Hichki(《嗝嗝老师》) tells us such a story about it. In the movie, the teacher Naina Mathur helped some bad students.

In the movie, the teacher Naina had a serious illness. The illness made her hiccup(打嗝) often. Naina wanted to find a job as a teacher. She failed several times because of this.

She soon realized that it was not easy to teach those bad students. They laughed at her and imitated(模仿) her sounds during her first class.

She tried to find the students' strengths(长处). These students still caused a very serious accident. The school asked them to leave. Naina tried her best to solve the problem. Finally Naina won the students' hearts.

The movie tells us that a good teacher doesn't simply pass on knowledge(知识) , but shows the students how to be a good person. Teachers can shape the students' personalities(性格), even if they have some kind of disability and illness.

I have two older brothers, Matt and Martin. They love me very much. Perhaps it is because I am the1child and the only sister they have.

Both Matt and Martin have thick and dark hair. They look alike(相像) with2short hairdos(发型) and big eyes. They are also very tanned(晒黑的) because they enjoy outdoor3. For example, Malt likes football and Martin is a tennis player. They are much taller than me and I always have to look up when I4to them.
