    Dominic is my neighbour. He lives in the flat . He moved in about two months ago. I've never seen him or spoken to him and I didn't know his name until last week. I'm a typical British neighbour-I don't need to  my neighbours.

    Dominic plays the guitar. Well, actually he's learning to play the guitar. Every evening he comes home and plays the guitar. For an hour. Or maybe two. Sometimes it continues through the night. And sometimes he sings  . I can hear his voice clearly. In fact he's got quite a good voice. But he isn't a good guitarist.

    Now, I'm a  person. I enjoy music. And Dominic is learning to play the guitar. I really can't ask him to quit playing his favourite instrument, So I tolerate(容忍)his music, his guitar and his singing.

    One million copies of the seven comic strips describing Mandela's(曼德拉)life were published in South Africa. That was a part of events celebrating his 87th birthday on July 18.

    South Africa's first black president Nelson Mandela became a comic strip hero at once. "This project aims at encouraging young people to read, "hisfoundation(基金会)said

    "We express theand the values of Mr Mandela through comics, "added John Samuel, chief executive(决策者)of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, "Comics are a very useful way of bringing young people into reading, "

    "Comicsare a very powerful way to introduce literature(文学), various aspects of reading to young people. And this is our purpose here. "he told a news conference.

    Some peoplethat Mr Mandela should not be a comic figure, "It would take a lot more than comics to demean his stature(贬低他的声望)," said Samuel.
