True or false.
One fine Sunday afternoon we went for a walk
along the river bank. Several families were having picnics in the shade of the
trees. George looked at them with great interest. "What a good idea!"
he said, "I wish we had brought some food with us. I'm hungry!"
After we had been walking for nearly an
hour, George saw a man fishing. "I wonder if he's caught something,"
George said. "He might be willing to sell us some nice fresh fish."
"Let's ask him," I suggested.
We greeted the man and asked him if he had
caught some fish. The man looked up at us and smiled. "It's been a very
bad day," the man said. "The fish have eaten nearly all my bait (鱼饵). I don't like feeding fish."
"Did you catch anything" George
asked eagerly (急切地).
"I caught six fish some time ago," The man answered. "May I see
them" George asked. "I threw them back into the river," the man
said. "They were too small. I want to catch a really big one!"
