    I can't remember when I started collecting litter. But it was when I got tired of seeing litter nearby and realized that no one else was going to pick i up.

    I lived near a forest in Ohio, America. I can w there in three minutes! I used to love going there to play with my dog.  But one day there was so much litter there that I became very u. I decided l had to clean up the forest, and I wanted to feel happy going there again.

    I made my first trip to clean the forest that afternoon. I took a big black rubbish bag w me. Ten minutes after starting to pick up litter, my bag was f ! There were cans, Bottles, broken glass and newspapers in it. From then on, l went to the forest four times a year to pick up litter. I'm often there for three hours. It makes me feel great to do something for the e . After each trip, I look at all the litter that I've found. If any of it is recyclable, I keep it. I can't understand w  people drop litter. But I will keep picking it until they stop dropping it. I know I'm only doing a small bit to help the earth, but I still think it's important.

    One year ago, I asked a worker to help me repair(修理) my old house. He had a bad first day on the job: his car broke on the way, then he found be had left his tools for work at home and his wife telephoned to say his son had a bad cold. While I drove him home, he was silent all the way. When arriving, he invited me to meet his family.

    As we walked towards the front door, he stopped at a small tree, and touched the tree with hands. When we opened the door, l was very surprised to see he changed in to another person and there was a big smile on his face instead. He hugged his son and gave his wife a kiss.

    After a while, when he walked me to the car, I asked him why be had touched the tree just then. "Oh, that's my trouble(烦恼) tree," he answered. "Sometimes I have troubles on my job, but one thing is for sure, they don't belong to(属于) my wife and my son. So I just hang up(悬挂) the troubles on the tree every night when I come Borne. Then in the morning I pick them up. "

    "The funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them up, I hardly(几乎不) remember what I put the night before. "

    There are three airports in New York. When you arrive at one of them, you can take a bus or taxi to any place in New York.

    There aregood hotels in New York. The best is The Plaza on 5th Avenue, but you don't have to pay a lot to live in the city. There are lots of smaller hotels.

    Shopping in New York is fun. There are many big shops on 5th Avenue. They are open seven days a week. When you go shopping, you should take more money because you have to pay a special 8% tax(税) for  you buy in New York.
