Although people in the city laugh at my dark skin and
big hands, I still miss my childhood in the countryside.
I always remember good things and bad
things about living on a farm. At that time, we lived near the cows and sheep and
my parents always got up early in the morning to feed them. I used to help, but
most of the time I would get up late. I still remember the bad smell of the
animals and nice smell of the breakfast. The two smells mixed and I found it
hard to keep lying on bed. As I jumped out of the bed, washed quickly and ran
downstairs, my breakfast was ready for me on the table."
In winter, the weather was always very
cold. The house didn't have any heating(暖气), so we had to wear heavy clothes in bed! When we woke up in the morning,
there was frost on the outside and sometimes inside of the window! The life
was really hard for us!
I also remember spending our holidays by
the sea with my parents. We went to the same place every year. It was a
beautiful place. I felt very happy there. Whenever(每当) we left there to go back home, I
always kept crying. I will never forget my childhood in the countryside.
