Britain is fas a country of animal lovers, and a many families have at least one pet. Americans also like animals, and about 60% of American families have a pet. People from other countries say that Americans think so much about animals and take them as well as people.

    At weekends people have many ways to see other animals. Many towns have a river with ducks. In Britain, people vfarm parks, zoos, bird parks, and sea life parks.

    TV sabout animals are very popular. Children are i in animals when they are very small. Children's life is wonderful bthere are many different animals. Many animals in books have their own character: foxes are cunning(狡猾的), and cats are kind.

    We can watch stories about animals on TV. Animal World is very good. We can know more about animals. And we can see many other animals we can't see in our life.

    Animals are our friends and we stake the animals as our friends.

    It's a fashion for many people to keep animals at home. People t call these id animals pets. In Canada you can find dogs，cats, horses, etc. in almost every family. People there love these pets and have them as their good friends. Before they keep them in their houses, they take them to animal hospitals to look them over so that they won't carry diseases. They have special animal food stores, though they can get animal food in almost every store. Some people spend a lot on animal food. When you visit their homes, they will be very glad to show you their pets and they are very proud of them. You will also find that almost every family has a bird feeder(野鸟喂食器) in their garden. All kinds of birds are welcomed to come and i have a good meal. They have a law against killing animals.

    If an animal was hit by a car, people would be very sad about it. Pets are becoming more and more popular, especially in cities. But there are also some problems. For example, some pets pollute the environment. They make too much noise, and cost too much money. They can also bring diseases to the people around them. People should think about these problems before they decide to keep pets.

    There are many people who do jobs that help you.

    1 know about math and science. They use what they know about math and science to build new things. Engineers help build almost everything we use. Some engineers make TVs sound good. Some make computer games that are 2 to play. Some also make old things work well for people.

    Police officers work hard to keep towns and cities3. They help the people when there are accidents. Police officers also try to stop accidents. They make sure that people don't break 4.

    Firefighters put out fires in buildings, cars, and forests. If people are trapped(陷入) in burning buildings, firefighters can help them as 5 as possible. Firefighters try to stop fires in forests before the fires get to towns.

    People 6pick up garbage also help keep towns and cities safe. If garbage is not picked up, people can get sick from germs(细菌). These people work day and7 to keep us healthy and safe.

    People sometimes like to read stories of dogs very much. They think that dogs are cleverer than cats, sheep, cows or other animals in their homes.

    One of my close friends, Bob, has a very large police dog named Jack. Every Sunday afternoon, Bob and Jack have a walk in the park nearby. Jack likes these walks very much.

    One Sunday afternoon, I paid a visit to Bob. I stayed there for a long time and Bob and I had much more talk with each other than ever before. Soon it was time for them to take a walk in the park but we forgot that. Jack  worried about it. He walked around the room several times and then sat down in front of me and looked at me.  But I still paid no attention to him. I went on  with Bob. At last, Jack could not wait any longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes later. He sat down in front of me again. But this time, he held my hat his mouth. Suddenly, I understood what Jack meant and lily friend understood too.

    I have never taken cooking classes. I learned cooking f  my mother because she was really interested in teaching me h to cook. The main reason for this was because when my mother got married, she didn't know how to cook, not even an e. My grandmother never allowed her to stay in the kitchen when she was cooking.

    My mother did not start to cook u she was 25 years old. In the beginning, it was very hard for her. So, she had to take cooking classes to p our meals. Ahaving that experience, she decided to teach me how to cook because she didn't wme to have the same experience.
