    Children often have their exams in July. The school year will end soon. Boys and girls will bare about two 1 to relax. The summer vacation is the best part of the year for most children. The2 is usually fine. They can swim, go to summer camp or3 other places with their parents.

    Of course, the beaches are good4 for relaxing. Some children are5to live near the sea. They can enjoy the sea anytime, But for the children who live far from the sea, they can only go to the beaches for one or two weeks with 6 parents.

    Why do children like spending their summer vacation on the beaches? It is because they like the sand, the sun, the cool wind and the sea water. There are lots of new things to see, delicious things to  7 , and exciting things to do.

    Mr King worked in a factory. He liked playing soccer and spent much time on it, so he was sometimes late for work. His boss was so angry that he fired(解雇) Mr King. Mr King couldn't find another job. Finally he got into trouble and lived a difficult life.

    One of his friends felt sorry for him and introduced(介绍) him to a headmaster, whose school was just in need of swimming coaches. Mr King began to teach the school children to swim. He wasn't a good coach. Two months later, the children learned nothing. Few of them could swim.

    It was a hot Saturday. The children wouldn't stay in the classroom and wanted to swim in the river. Mr King failed to stop them. Before they started, he drew a red line below the knee of each child. He said to them, "Come out of the river a~ once if the water reaches the line."
