The new book Harry Potter and the Half­ Blood (哈利·波特与混血王子) is warmly welcomed by the children in China. It sells well across China. You can see and hear the advertisements about the book here and there.

Why is the book so popular？After reading it, I was attracted (吸引)by the magic world. I can't help asking: where is our own Harry Potter？China has a long history and colorful culture. However, why are our present books not as good as those foreign ones？

Firstly, many children's books are written for teaching, and they're not interesting. Reading them, children often have a feeling of being "educated". Certainly, they don't like them. Secondly, fewer children like the same stories, but most Chinese books are usually the same. They know the ending when they read the beginning. Finally, the writers hardly ever think about children's needs.

First­ class Reading, for children should be interesting, and written in their language.

A mother and her daughter lived in a village. Every night,  mother would lock the door with three locks, because she was afraid that a thief might come in.

 As time went by, the daughter became tired of her  (bore) life there, and dreamed to go to the city to see the outside world. One day, she left home without  (say) goodbye to her mother. "Forget me, Mom." She thought.

But the outside world wasn't as good  she thought. Ten years  (late), she came back home with a tired body and mind.

From your first library visit for story time, to your visits to study as an undergraduate (大学生), you spend a lot of time in libraries. But do you know1to behave in the library? Why do people always whisper (耳语)? Here are some rules for you to learn and respect.

Your behavior in the library must be2from your behavior at home. When you go to the library, you should3 your phone or change it to silent mode (静音模式). Sounds from your phone may disturb other people. 4a call must be made, you should go to a special area or outdoors.

Libraries are places for people to5 . Therefore, you need to speak in a 6 voice. If you want to discuss something with your study group, find a “study room”. Most college libraries have such study rooms.

Don't eat or drink when you are in the library. On the one hand, the 7  you make may annoy others. On the other hand , the books can get 8from food crumbs (碎屑), which would ruin (毁坏) it for those who borrow the books9 you.

Remember this golden rule: always treat others the10you want to be treated. Then you will enjoy yourself in the library.
