We finally arrived at the before the sunset.

    Anna was from a small village. She studied in her village until she finished 4th grade. This year she would study in a new school in the city. Today was her first day of school. She was very excited.

    As soon as the school bus reached her school, all students started going to their classrooms. Anna also made it to her classroom after asking some students for direction. The teacher soon arrived. She introduced Anna to the class and told the students to be ready for a surprise test! She asked everyone to write down the Seven Wonders (奇迹) of the World. Most students started writing quickly, but Anna sat there doing nothing.

    Later all the other students handed in their answer papers, but Anna's paper was still blank. The teacher came and said to Anna, "Don't worry, dear. Just write what you know. Other students have learnt about it just a couple of days ago." Finally Anna gave her answer paper to the teacher.

    The teacher started reading her students' answers and most of them had given a right answer. At last the teacher started reading Anna's answer.

    "The Seven Wonders are—to be able to see, to be able to hear, to be able to feel, to laugh, to think, to be kind and to love!"

    The teacher was shocked. Today, a girl from a small village reminded her about the fantastic gifts from God, which are truly wonders.

    The alarm clock was ringing. I got out of bed and turned it off. It was 6: 30 in the morning, and l was very tired! It was very 1 outside, so I couldn't see anything! I walked over to the bathroom, took a shower and then came out. I put all my books in my backpack so I wouldn't 2 them when l went to school.

    I went into the kitchen and ate the food my mother had cooked for me. But when I finished, my 3 still wasn't downstairs (在楼下) to drop me off at the school bus stop. Where was she? I went to my parents' bedroom and saw my mother 4! She must have gone back to bed! I woke her up and said. "I'm going to be late for school!" She looked at me and said. "Go and look 5."

    Confused (困惑的), I went to the window and opened the curtain (窗帘). It was lighter now and I could see outside. But I didn't see the green grass or the black road. Instead, I saw 6 everywhere.

    It was a snowy day, so there was no school! I ran to my mother. She got up and 7 me a jacket and boots and told me to play in the snow for a while. It was fun but really cold. I came inside after an hour.

    My dad was sitting at the table with two cups of hot 8, and one was for me! I drank my hot chocolate 9 so that it would last longer, and I felt warm again. It was a wonderful day! Check the weather when you think there could be some snow, because you never know what could 10!
