I'm Rick, a middle school student from America. I often go to school by bus. It takes me about twenty minutes from my home to school.

But at my school and other schools in our city, there is "Walk to School Day". It is on Wednesday every week. On that day, parents send their kids to a bus stop. There are many bus stops in our city. At each bus stop, two parent volunteers(志愿者)take us to walk to school together.

"Walk to School Day" is good for the air. We get exercise, too. On the way to school we can talk to our classmates and we can also make new friends. I like "Walk to School Day". I walk for about five kilometers with other students on that day. Our school gives some students beautiful schoolbags if they do well and I get one this term.

Tom is from America. Now he's in Beijing with his parents. He usually gets up at six. At a quarter past six, he takes walk. Then he (have) breakfast. After breakfast, he (go) to school at a quarter past seven.

Classes begin eight. He is never late class. Tom works very hard and often helps (he) classmates. He likes Chinese very much. He speaks (China) everyday. He does his (homework) at home in the evening. After that, he (watch) TV.

He goes to bed at about ten o'clock. All teachers say Tom (be) a good student.

On a small farm in Mexico, there are no schools. A bus is the school. The driver is the teacher. It's a school bus, but it doesn't take the children to school. It just goes round from place to place, and sometimes it comes to this farm. The bus stays here for three weeks. The farmers call it a school on wheels. Every time the bus comes, the farmers will come, running to it happily and laughing(笑). They warmly welcome the school bus.

When the bus is on the farm in the morning, the teacher teaches the small children. In the afternoon, the older children come to have their lessons because they must work in the morning. At night, the fathers and mothers come to school. They want to learn, too. How the farmers hope that some day they can have a real school on their farm!
