    Many of us enjoy watching animals in the world. But do you know they can teach us?

    Geese(雁), for example, teach a very good lesson about 1. In the fall, Canada geese fly to the warm south to 2 Canada's cold winter. They lift off in no order. Yet 3 they form a V shape, with one bird leading the group.

    This V shape allows geese to 4 energy. When the front bird moves its wings up and down, the resulting force of the air lifts the next one. This continues down the line. The bird 5 has the hardest job. When it gets6 , it moves behind, and another bird moves into the lead. By sharing the role, the group can travel great distances. Geese flying in a V shape can fly 70 per cent farther without 7 than birds flying alone. During the long flying journey, geese communicate with one another. They honk(鸣叫) to 8 the birds up front to keep up the speed. They also cheer each other up 9 working toward a common goal.

    What have we learned from the lovely geese's experience and skills?

    10 together! Whether it is our personal lives or our jobs, we need other people. We need the spirit of teamwork!

    Many animals are in danger of dying out. We can see the number of animal species decreases faster and faster and this trend will continue. From 1980 to 2010, at least I million animal species disappeared. Worse still, more and more wild animals are in great danger. It is not a piece of terrible news; it is a fact, a harsh reality. Unfortunately, we may not see these animals in the near future.

    Why is the number of animal species declining year by year? Apparently animals have become victims of fashion industry. Animal skin has been used to make fashionable clothes and these clothes are sold at a high price. So some greedy people begin to kill animals in a large quantity.  This irresponsible behaviour not only breaks the balance of nature but also endangers the living environment of human beings.

    As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal action. We believe "no buying, no killing". First, we must make concerning laws to protect these animals in danger.  Second, we must take some measures to protect animals effectively. Animals are our friends and part of our environment. Third, we should raise people's awareness to protect animals and our environment.  In this way, we can build a harmonious society and ensure a sustainable development.

    Bridges are built for many reasons. Some bridges are built so that cars can cross over rivers.  are made for trains to use.  In Washington State, there is a very  (usual) bridge. It was built for squirrels(松鼠). The town of Longview has a very busy street. Many cars pass  every day. When squirrels tried to cross the street, they (kill).  Amos Peters wanted   (protect) these small and lovely animals, so he built a bridge for them--one that would let them pass above the traffic.

    The bridge  (be) a symbol of the town for over 40 years since then. And every Christmas, the local people add a small Christmas tree to the centre of the bridge.  lovely!

    A few years ago, the local people created  squirrel festival and they raised money  (build) two more bridges for these lovely animals. For years, because of the bridges, the squirrels in the town have been able to cross  (safe) from one side of the street to the other.
