A man stopped at a gas station and bought a soft drink. He stood by his car to 1 and he watched a couple of men 2 along the roadside.

    One man would dig a hole two or three feet 3 and then move on. 4man came along behind to fill in the hole. While one was digging a new hole, the other was about 25 feet behind 5 in the old hole.

    The man with a soft drink was confused. "I can't stand this," said the man walking toward the men. "Stop it," he said to t e men. "Can you tell me what's 6 here?"

    "Well, we work for the county government," one of the men said.

    "But one of you is digging a hole and the other is filling 7up. You're not accomplishing anything. Aren't you 8 the county's money?"

    "You don't understand," one of the men said.

    "Normally (通常地) there are 9 of us: I Rodney and Mike. I dig the hole Rodney sticks in the tree and Mike here puts earth 10."

    "Yeah," said Mike. "Today Rodney is sick. But that doesn't mean we can't work, does it?"

    As we all know, having a powerful memory is important. A powerful memory can help you succeed in school, in your job, and in life. It also helps you learn faster, and fast learners are always in demand. With it, you can succeed more easily.

    If you're willing to make a few changes in lifestyle, you should improve your memory first. My goal is to explain every skill that can help you improve your memory.

    You can not only learn memory skills on this website, but also learn how to improve your memory through diet, exercise, sleep and other ways.

    Memory improvement can be achieved in two ways: Improving the health of your brain and using memory skills. These are easier to do than you might think, but you have to make the effort(努力).

    Memory improvement requires time and effort on your part. Of course, I believe that a more powerful brain is well worth the effort!

    Here are a few of the great memory improvement tips. I'll give you the tips in the following part.

    Many people have forgetfulness (健忘). And, yes, I was one of those forgetful people before. So I've had to develop some kinds of ways to improve it.

    How do you know you are forgetful?

    You know it: when people ask whether you've found the answers they wanted, but you can't recall them; if you often have trouble remembering where your keys are, or where you have parked your car in the parking lot; if you miss appointments (约定); or if you can never remember a person's name even a few seconds after being introduced.

    The following are some of my tips for fighting with forgetfulness.

    Can't find the keys. Right now get a small bowl (碗) and set it on a table in your kitchen. When you come back home, always put your keys in this bowl. The "key" to remembering where your keys are is to always put them back in the same place at once ever}r time you come back home.

    Can't find your car in the parking lot. I kept running into this problem until one day I solved it quite simply. Now I always park in the first or second row(排) to the left of the entrance (入口). That way, when I come out, I naturally start walking toward where my car is parked because it has become a habit.
