    "It'll be fine, Jill," said Jane. "Dr. Hicks is a very good dentist."

    Just then Dr. Hicks came into the room. She looked over Jill's hole. When she got prepared, she sat down next to Jill.

    "Jill, there's a hole in one of your teeth," said Dr. Hicks. "We'll repair the hole with something, but it's a little bitter (苦的)."
