    Mo Yan is one of the most popular Chinese authors(作家) today. Most of his books are bestsellers(畅销书).

    Mo Yan was born in Gaomi, Shandong Province in 1955. There are six people in his family. As a child, he went to the primary school in his village, and because of some reasons, he left school and worked on the farm. In 1976 he joined the army and worked for the army. Five years later, he started writing and finished his first three novels. His novel, Red Sorghum, came out in 1986, and it was made to be a film by Zhang Yimou. It was his first big success.

    Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2012.   Our Jing Ke was published(出版) in Beijing after he won the Nobel Prize. He has a daughter, Guan Xiaoxiao. And his daughter is also a writer. Now he lives with his wife and his daughter in Beijing. In his free time, he goes on his writing.

    Do you know about my friend Zhao Han? Zhao Han is not like other girls. This eleven-year-old girl doesn't show an interest in and playing. This girl becomes interested in writing. Zhao write when she was in Grade One. One day her Chinese teacher asked her and her classmates to write a story “If I had Zhao had a good idea, “Why not it a poem?” Then her first poem came out, Since then Zhao has written hundreds of poems and short stories. And you can see some of them in the newspapers. They are all popular with people boys and girls. In my home town, Zhao becomes one of the most popular writers.

    Qian Zhongshu was one of the most famous Chinese writers to the Western world. Born on November 21, 1910 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, he grew up with his uncle, who didn't have a son. Qian liked reading books and had a surprising memory(记忆力). He only needed to read something once before learning it by heart. He showed his good memory at an early age. When he was a small boy, his uncle often took him to teahouses. He liked reading storybooks in the teahouses.

    When they returned home, he could repeat the stories to his cousins. Qian went to Tsinghua University in 1929. Although he failed his maths test, he entered the university because he was so good at Chinese and English. In Tsinghua University he met his wife Yang Jiang，who is one year younger than him and a famous writer too. They got married in 1935. Two years later, their daughter Qian Yuan was born. Qian died of illness on December 19，1998. He left many works to the world. His most famous novel, Fortress Besieged (围城)，came out in 1947. It has been translated into(已经被翻译成) more than six foreign languages.
