    Once there was a man in the town. He had two : a dog and a donkey (驴). The dog watched the house. The donkey things here and there.

    One night, a thief (小偷) the house. The man was sleeping. The donkey saw the thief and . The man got up and looked around. But the thief ran away, so he didn't see anything. His were all in the house. The man thought the donkey was too noisy (吵闹的). He was not and beat (打) the donkey badly.

    It was the dog's work to watch the house, not the donkey's.
