If you cannot travel around the world, why not travel on the Internet? GeoGuessr is a new online travel game. The game is easy to play, but nearly impossible to win. The new online game challenges your geography skills.

How to play the game

    When you think you know where the photo was taken, click on the Google map to place your marker.

    Click on the "Make A Guess" button on the bottom of the map. A new image will appear, showing the distance between the area you chose and the actual location. GeoGuessr will tell how many kilometers away you were and how many points you earned.

    You get five chances to guess the location. After the fifth one, you see a map showing your guesses, the correct location and the number of points you earned.

    Here are a few tips to help you identify what part of the planet you are seeing.

    look around and see if you can find any words on signs to show the local language. For example, if both French and English are on signs, Canada might be a good guess.

    Make a note of whether the cars drive on the right or the left side of the road. If cars are driving on the left, that narrows your guesses.

    The more you play the game, the better you will get at geography.

    A small robot may help children who are ill in hospital or at home. These children may feel lonely without their friends or classmates. The robot takes their places at school. Through the robot, the children can hear their teachers and friends.

    The robot is called AV1. A Norwegian company called No Isolation created the robot. Dolva explains how the robot AV1 works. She says from home, children use a tablet or phone to start the robot. Then they use the same device to control the robot's movements. At school, the robot becomes their eyes, ears and voice.

     "So, it sits at the child's desk in the classroom and the child uses a tablet or a phone to start it and control its movements and talks through it. So it's the eyes, the ears and the voice at school." The robot is equipped with speakers, microphones and cameras that make communication easy.

    AV1 is large and looks like a human for a reason. Dolva says this is important because the robot is supposed to be a friend of the children. "It can't be just a tiny camera because the other kids can't pick it up and take it with them. This is supposed to be their friend." And robots are, quite simply, cool. Hopefully AV1 will help some children feel less lonely while they are not in class.

    When we think of paper, we think of newspapers and books. But there are many other uses. Only half of the world's paper is used for books and newspapers.

    Paper is very good for keeping you warm. You have perhaps seen homeless men sleep on a large number of newspapers. In Finland, it is sometimes-40℃ in winter. The farmers wear paper boots(靴子)in the snow. Nothing could be warmer.

    Each year, more and more things are made of paper. We have had paper cups and plates for a long time. But now we hear that chairs, tables, and even beds can be made of paper. Besides paper boots and shoes, you can wear paper hats, paper dresses, and paper raincoats. When you have used them once, you may throw them away and buy new ones.

    The latest use of paper seems to be paper houses. These are not small houses for children to play in, but real, big houses for people to live in. You can buy a house with three rooms for about 500 dollars. You can put it up by yourself in a few hours, and you can use it for about five years.

    Today almost everyone knows computers and the Internet. If I ask you" What is the most important in your life? ", maybe you will say" Computers and the Internet".

    The(one) computer was made in 1946. It was very big but it worked(slow). Today computers are getting smaller and smaller. Butwork faster and faster. What can computers do? A writer has said, "People can't livecomputers today."

    The Internet came a little later than computers. It is about twenty-three years later than computers. But now it can(find) almost everywhere. We can use it to read books, write letters, do(shop), play games or make friends.

    Many students like the Internet very much. They often surf the Internet as soon as they are free. They make friends on the Internet and maybe they have never seen these friends. They don't know their real(name), ages, and even sex(性别). They are so(interest) in making the "unreal friends" that they can't put their hearts into study. Many of them can't catch up with others on many subjectsof that.

    We can use computers and the Internet to learn more about the world. But atsame time, we should remember that not all the things can be done by computers and the Internet.
