Friendship Day is a day for celebrating friendship. It takes place on the first Sunday of (八月) every year.

    The first Friendship Day was celebrated in the US. But now the celebration is no longer limited(限制) to the US (单独). The beautiful idea of having a day in honor of friends was taken over by several other . (国家)across the world. With more and more nations joining in the celebrations, Friendship Day soon (成为) International Friendship Day.

    Between 1935 and 1998, Friendship Day didn't have any (特别的) character-like Santa Claus (或者) the Easter Bunny. However, in 1998, the United Nations named Winnie the Pooh as the world's Ambassador of Friendship.

    The (传统的) celebrations include many kinds of activities, such as meeting with friends, exchanging cards, flowers and (礼物)and hosting get-togethers. It's popular among all age groups from teenagers to old people.

    (自从) 1935, Friendship Day and its celebrations have come a long way, but the basic idea (在……后面) the occasion remains the same.

    When I was 7 years old, I went to the US with my mom. I can still    1 the first Halloween holiday I had in 2 .

    On the morning of Halloween, we paid a visit to a pumpkin farm. Each of us brought a pumpkin to school 3 us. I used my pumpkin to make a lantern which had two round eyes and a scary mouth.

I can't remember 13 houses I visited, but I can remember how many 14 I got — I got 91 that day, and I was so happy.

    What a 15 Halloween I had! And I wish we could have Halloween every month!
