Most Chinese know the story of Chang'e and her flight to the moon.they may not know why there is also a Jade Rabbit in the moon. Here is one of the(story). Three fairies changed(them) into poor old men and asked a fox, a monkey, and a rabbit for food.the fox and the monkey gave some food to them. But the rabbit had nothing(give) them. The rabbit saw that they were still hungry, then he jumped into a fire to offer his own flesh (肉). The fairies were very thankful, so they(send) the rabbit to live in the Moon Palace with beautiful and lonely Chang'e.
