Last Sunday Mr Black went to visit his friend Mr Green. When he came up to his friend's house, a big black dog ran out and barked(吠叫) at him. Mr Black was afraid and stopped. Then Mr Green came out and saw his friend.
“Don't be afraid(害怕)!” he said. “Don't you know the proverb(谚语): Barking(吠叫) dogs don't bite(咬)?”
“Oh, yes.” Mr Black answered, “I know the proverb, and you know the proverb. Does the dog know the proverb?”
