It is a fine Sunday. Mike and his mother are going to the West Lake with
Bob and his parents. Bob and his parents come from England. They go to the West
Lake by bus.
Now they are on the dike (堤坝)of the lake. How
beautiful! The water is gentle( 温柔的)and clean. The
willows(柳树) on both sides are waving(挥手) to the visitors. They get on a boat and row to the middle of the
lake. Sometimes the lake is as calm(平静的) as a mirror.
Sometimes there is a little wind, and the boat is like a cradle (摇篮)in the water. There is a big fountain(喷泉)
in the lake. It's really fantastic( 极好的).
It's said that(据说) the West Lake is one of the
fairylands(乐园)in the world. That's true. Mike and his
friends want to visit it again.
