English people have three meals a day. They usually have bread，cereal（麦片），eggs and milk for breakfast. At lunchtime，they usually have some fast food. For example，they have fish and chips，hamburgers or sandwiches. Fish and chips is very popular in England. Many people like it very much. English people usually have a big dinner in the evening. They eat lots of meat，fish and potatoes. They have dinner with knives，forks and spoons（汤匙）.

English people like drinking coffee and milk. They also drink tea，but tea with milk. There is a tea time between lunch and dinner，usually at about 4：00 p. m. They usually enjoy some snacks（小吃）with a cup of tea or coffee. They often talk about their day at tea time.

Little Elephant sees a bird flying in the sky. He thinks,"I hope I can fly like the bird. That will be great!"

Little Elephant tries to fly like a bird. He jumps up and down. He runs here and there. But he still can't fly. He feels very, very tired.

Little Horse comes and says, "Little Elephant, we don't have wings（翅膀）. We can't fly. Look，I have long strong legs. I can run very fast with them.

Little Monkey comes and says, "Little Elephant, I can't fly. Look，I have a long tail. I can swing（荡来荡去）in the tree with it.”

Little Fish comes and says, "Little Elephant, I can't fly. I can't run and I can't swing. But I can swim! Look, my tail isn't long, but I can swim fast with it."

Mother Elephant says to him, "Everyone has his own gift. We don't have wings, but we have a long trunk（象鼻）. We can do many things with it."

Little Elephant begins to help others（其他人）with his long trunk. He carries logs（搬运木头）to build beautiful houses. He helps little animals take a shower. He waters flowers and trees. Little Elephant feels very happy.
