Saturday is a busy day for Peter. He often gets up early in the morning. First, he has his breakfast. Then he reads an English story book. After reading, he helps his mother do some washing. In the afternoon, he makes a telephone call（打电话） to his friend. They go to the swimming pool by bike. He likes swimming very much. When he swims in the water, he's very happy.

We can tell the time by a clock or watch. A clock is big; it is usually on the wall, or it stands on the table. A watch is small; we can put one in our pocket (口袋) or wear it on the wrist (手腕).

The clock has a round face with figures (数字) on it, and two hands, a long hand and a short hand.

The short hand points to the hours (小时), the long hand points to the minutes(分). Some clock have three hands, a short hand , a long hand, and a very long one to point to the seconds (秒).
